Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Dr. Rauckhorst Lab in CTS
The laboratory of Dr. Adam Rauckhorst at the FIU Center for Translational Science (CTS) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a collaborative and multidisciplinary research team. The Rauckhorst Lab investigates mitochondrial regulation of cardiovascular metabolism, with a focus on nutrient flux, redox balance, and metabolic signaling under physiological and pathological conditions.
We employ cutting-edge approaches including in vivo and in vitro modeling, targeted and untargeted metabolomics, and stable isotope tracing to explore the role of mitochondrial transporters and enzyme systems in health and disease.
Position Requirements
- PhD in Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- At least one strong first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal
- Demonstrated scientific rigor, critical thinking skills, and a strong work ethic
- Solid experimental/bench skills, with attention to detail and reproducibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Initiative and drive to lead research directions and explore new ideas
- Willingness to work across disciplines and develop new technical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with mass spectrometry-based metabolomics and/or stable isotope tracing
- Familiarity or interest in cardiovascular biology, mitochondrial metabolism, systems biology, or bioinformatics/data analysis
- Enthusiasm for collaborative science and translational research
