Description
Looking for a postdoctoral fellow who can do mass spectrometry-based proteomics:
Introduction to Na lab:
The Na Lab at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a Systems Biology lab that combines molecular biology, analytical chemistry, and computational biology with various "Omics" technologies, including genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, to understand signaling pathways and to identify therapeutic targets and biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases. Na lab developed in-situ cell-type-specific proteomics method using antibody-mediated biotinylation (iCAB) and is actively further advancing the iCAB method and applying it to various biomedical studies. Dr. Na is also the Director of the Center for Proteomics Discovery (CPD), and Na lab is closely working with CPD.
Job description: The Na Lab is looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will work on various mass spectrometry-based proteomics projects such as the following:
- Structural proteomics using Limited Proteolysis Mass Spectrometry (LiP-MS), protein painting, and/or HDX
- Cell-type-specific, single-cell proteome analyses to uncover pathways involved in various diseases.
- Global and targeted identification and quantification of proteins and post-translational modifications involved in neurodegenerative diseases for the development of biomarkers and mechanistic-based studies.
- Mass spectrometry imaging for metabolites and lipids
- Data analysis and statistical analysis
