Patent Attorney/ Patent Agent/ Technical Advisor  – Life Sciences

A top AM National IP Law Firm, is seeking a Patent Attorney, Patent Agent, and/or Technical Advisor to join its busy Life Sciences patent prosecution and counseling practice in Silicon Valley, Boston, or New York.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field, or an M.D. with significant research experience. Broad scientific knowledge in biotechnology is preferred.

Responsibilities include conducting prior-art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses; analyzing patents and scientific literature in connection with patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation; drafting patent applications and responses to Office Actions; and participating in post-grant proceedings before the USPTO.

Candidates must possess superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills, demonstrate initiative, be fast learners, and work well collaboratively.

Patent Agent and Patent Attorney candidates must be registered to practice before the USPTO.
