Location: San Mateo, California

We are a cutting-edge start-up biotechnology company developing the next generation of therapeutic bispecific antibodies focused on extracellular protein degradation. We are seeking a scientist level contractor to join our mass spec team starting this summer for 6-10 months. The candidate will apply state-of-the-art mass spectrometry to characterize protein therapeutics as well as analyze complex biological samples in proteomics studies. In this role you will be involved in multidisciplinary collaborations with other teams including protein science, biology, and translational sciences, to support the research and development of novel therapeutic bispecific antibodies. 

Responsibilities

      Operate and maintain Orbitrap mass spectrometer and HPLC 

      Characterize antibody therapeutics using mass spec, including intact mass measurement, glycan analysis and peptide mapping (pharmaceutical industry experience required)

      Assist with proteomics experiments from study design, sample preparation to data analysis to understand the mechanism of action for our novel therapeutic drugs

      Maintain detailed experimental records

      Communicate and collaborate across a diverse interdisciplinary team
