The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University (TAMU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the areas of Microbial Evolution, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2027. As part of a major departmental expansion aligned with our 2020–2029 Strategic Plan, these searches aim to strengthen research excellence in broad areas of biology that currently include microbiology, biological resilience, synthetic biology, evolution, and biological clocks. We are especially interested in candidates who employ interdisciplinary, collaborative, and innovative approaches to fundamental questions in microbial evolution. Successful applicants are expected to develop and sustain an externally funded research program, contribute to undergraduate and graduate education, and engage in departmental and university service. We welcome applicants whose research transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline and have a strong track record of impactful research.
