InterHealth Nutraceuticals, Inc. is a privately held company located in Benicia, California (East Bay). InterHealth researches, develops, manufactures, markets and distributes proprietary nutritional ingredients, which are sold worldwide to manufacturers of dietary supplements and functional foods, beverages and cosmetic products. The company's success is earmarked by its unique, high quality ingredients, thorough research programs and powerful co-branding marketing strategies.
Company History
InterHealth Nutraceuticals was founded in 1987 by William “Skip” Seroy, a third generation dietary supplement manufacturer whose family has been a part of the nutritional products industry since 1940. In 2013, the Company was acquired by the private equity firm Kainos Capital, LLC. This acquisition has allowed the company to rapidly expand into new marketing arenas and as well as acquire the manufacturing firm Chick Cart Inc., a Fort Smith, Ark.-based manufacturer of nutritional ingredients.
InterHealth specializes in proprietary, value-added nutritional ingredients, including Zychrome®, LOWAT®, Super CitriMax®, ChromeMate®, L-OptiZinc®, Protykin®, ZMA®, UC-II®, OptiBerry®, Aller-7® and others. Currently, InterHealth's ingredients are incorporated in more than 600 nutritional products that are distributed in more than 30 countries around the world under such brands as Schiff Nutrition, Metabolife, NOW Foods, Solgar, Nature’s Way, Metagenics, ViSalus, Xango, SoBe Lean and FUZE Slenderize.
InterHealth actively sponsors original independent university studies on its products, which are used to evaluate safety and efficacy, and to support its product structure/function claims. InterHealth has sponsored research on its ingredients at more than a dozen universities, which has resulted in more than 100 research presentations, publications and abstracts presented at leading scientific conferences or published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
