What You Will Do:
Complete Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports per the ASTM E1527-21 and E2247-23 Standards for public and private entities.
Complete transportation corridor-style Phase I ESAs based on MnDOT's guidelines for completion of Phase I ESAs using a modified version of the ASTM E1527-21 Standard.
Tabulate environmental data and prepare other technical reports documenting Phase II ESAs, limited site and remedial investigations, Response Action Plans (RAPs), and RAP Implementation projects.
Review technical reports prepared by other environmental investigation and remediation staff to verify accuracy and ensure completion.
Support fieldwork associated with investigation and remediation projects, including but not limited to Phase I ESA site visits, drilling investigations, quarterly groundwater monitoring events, and construction oversight.
What You Will Bring:
A bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, chemistry, biology, natural resources, soil science, or comparable field from an accredited school.
3+ years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation, with an emphasis on preparing Phase I ESAs and other technical reports.
Experience completing work following MnDOT reporting requirements and MPCA guidance documents.
Experience with EIR field testing/screening equipment typical of construction oversight and investigation projects (e.g., PID, YSI, peristaltic pump, sub-slab vapor pin installation).
Strong verbal communication, technical writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, ability to work alone or in group settings, and a demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service.
Safety-focused, organized, and collaborative with a growth mindset.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Our preferred candidate will also have:
Experience with preparing environmental investigation and clean-up grant applications
Experience conducting the above-mentioned activities in other states
Experience with GIS, gINT, and EDGE/EQuIS software
40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
MN Asbestos and Lead Risk Assessor credentials
Rail safety certifications (E-rail safe or equivalent)
