Description
The Department of Chemistry at Sam Houston State University, a member of The Texas State University System, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position. We are seeking a Ph.D., preferably with post-doctoral experience, whose duties will include establishing a vigorous, externally funded biochemistry or chemical biology-focused research program; mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate research students; and teaching biochemistry courses and additional courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise, which may include areas relevant to toxicological, forensic, or physical biochemistry. Requirements
The successful candidate will support the department’s ACS-certified B.S. in Chemistry, B.S. in Forensic Chemistry, and M.S. in Chemistry programs through teaching, research, and service.
