| Job Summary | A postdoctoral scholar position is available in Dr. Preetha Shridas's laboratory at the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. We are seeking a motivated and talented scientist to investigate the roles of acute-phase protein, Serum Amyloid A in chronic and acute inflammatory diseases. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | We welcome applicants with a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Shridas and her team to advance ongoing projects on chronic and acute inflammatory diseases, with a focus on elucidating the role of the acute-phase protein Serum Amyloid A. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments within an interdisciplinary team, analyzing data, and presenting findings. Experience or willingness to work with mouse models is required. Proficiency in mouse experimentation, cell culture, biochemical and molecular biology techniques, and immunohistochemistry is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, scientific independence, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.   |
