The laboratory of Dr. Charles Dela Cruz and Dr. Lokesh Sharma, in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Associate.  The Candidate will study the host- viral pathogen biology of lung injury.

The Postdoctoral candidates with solid knowledge and strong skills in cell biology, and molecular biology are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will hold a PhD in microbiology, immunology or a closely related field is required. A successful applicant will have excellent general analytic skills and written communication skills. The work will be a mix of wet bench work and an extensive amount of analytic work of a complex data set including immunophenotyping with flow cytometry and multi-omics platform. On site work in the lab will be required 5 days per week for most of the funding period. Prior experience in ONE of the following content areas is preferred:

1) Host-pathogen interaction

2) Lung injury and repair

3) Lung Immunology

Our lab is committed to the career development of our lab members, and in training basic and translational scientists. Strong written and verbal skills in English are important, but not essential.
