POSTDOCTORAL POSITION ON GENETIC AND EPIGENETIC CONTROL OF FETAL GONAD DEVELOPMENT at NIEHS/NIH, North Carolina, USA
A postdoctoral position is available to study genetic and epigenetic control of cell fate determination in fetal gonads in the Reproductive Developmental Biology Group led by Senior Investigator Dr. Humphrey Hung-Chang Yao at National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, an institute of the National Institutes of Health, in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. The candidate will join an energetic research team with ample resources, excellent training opportunities, and a track record of trainee placement and publishing in high impact journals. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop independent research projects using transgenic and knockout mouse models, single cell multiomic techniques, tissue recombination, live imagining, and genomics tools. Requirements
We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated individual with an established track record of success, including at least one first-author publication. The selected individual should have experiences with reproductive/developmental biology research and excellent writing and presentation skills. Familiarity with genetically modified mice, molecular biology techniques (single cell seq, ChIP-seq etc.), and bioinformatics skills (R or Python) are highly recommended. A Ph.D. degree with 0-1 years of postdoctoral experience in developmental biology, reproductive biology, cell and molecular biology, or a related field(s) is desirable.
