The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Associate.

The post-doctoral candidate's research will be focused on using novel state-of-the-art approaches, in particular CRISPR-Cas, to ascertain whether B lymphocyte-mediated cell-to-cell HIV-1 trans-infection contributes to the establishment and replenishment of the latent viral reservoir in resting CD4+ T cells. You will also use a CRISPR-Cas screen to cellular identify proteins linked to HIV-1-mediated cell death. The candidate's research will include cell culture, molecular biology, and virology. It is anticipated that the candidate will also provide oversight to either a research technician or student in the laboratory and any other assignments that the principal investigator may request.

Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Infectious Diseases, or related fields required.
