Must be able to work for extended periods at a computer, be able to carry equipment (up to 35lbs) to locations around campus; walk on uneven surfaces; and climb ladders.

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m; but may need to respond to emergencies.

The Industrial Hygiene Manager reports to the Director of Occupational Health and Safety and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive industrial hygiene program that supports the University of Kentucky's mission. This program protects faculty, staff, students, visitors, and the environment from chemical, radiological, biological, and physical hazards.

Drivers' License preferred.
Must have the ability to plan, design, and implement industrial hygiene practices and procedures and compliance management plans and procedures in all areas of the institution.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication (oral and written) skills.

Master's degree in basic science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology), public health, or related discipline and hold a CIH or eligible. Five years experience in a professional IH role. Experience in an variety of settings including academic, medical, farms, utilities or research setting.
