Description
The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor, appointment stream, faculty position. Candidate must possess a background and foundation in synthesizing clinical and translational sciences in a health sciences environment, leveraging venture and start-up financing. Incumbent will help design, implement, and manage the systems, relationships, and operational frameworks needed to ensure that Pitt INCfunded ventures, internal investigators, and other external entities can efficiently access University capabilities—such as core facilities, tissue banks, and other scientific resources—at competitive rates and without unnecessary barriers. The Innovation Officer / Coordinator will play a pivotal role in translating institutional research capacity into sustainable commercial value, ensuring alignment between the University's academic mission and venture development activities.
