Echo and Outpatient Cardiology Faculty Position
Institution: The Heart Institute (HI) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC)
Position: BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level
Focus: Clinical responsibilities primarily in echocardiography and outpatient general cardiology

Heart Institute: The Heart Institute (HI) is an internationally recognized academic center of excellence for Pediatric (congenital and acquired) and Adult Congenital Cardiac Care, as well as clinical and basic science research. Our institute incorporates the Divisions of Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Molecular Cardiovascular Biology. We offer a full range of Pediatric Cardiac services within a free-standing, not-for-profit tertiary care medical center. Additionally, we train categorical Pediatric Cardiology and sub-specialty fellows in all areas of congenital heart disease practice, including 2 Advanced Imaging fellows. Academic appointments within CCHMC are through the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
Echo Lab: Our Echo lab includes 17 imaging faculty and 25 cardiac sonographers, performing over 16,000 transthoracic and 400 transesophageal echocardiograms annually. The Non-Invasive Imaging Service also performs and interprets approximately 1,000 CT or Cardiac MRI scans and over 2,500 fetal echocardiograms annually. Our facilities feature state-of-the-art reading rooms and the latest technology for advanced imaging techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret transthoracic echocardiograms
- Conduct 1-2 general cardiology clinics weekly
- Participate in inpatient consult service coverage
- Engage in all HI clinical and management conferences
- Provide teaching and instruction aligned with the training mission of HI/CCHMC
