- Assistant Professor of Biology One-Year Term (Start Fall 2026)
Description
GRINNELL COLLEGE. The Department of Biology invites applications for two separate appointments, each with a 1-year term contract, in cell or molecular biology beginning Fall 2026. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible. The teaching load of five courses over two semesters (with lab sections counting as ½ course) will include our intermediate-level survey-type course in cellular/molecular biology (BIO 251: Molecules, Cells, & Organisms, with a fully supported lab) and elective course(s) appropriate to the applicant’s expertise. Research and teaching interests might include, but are not limited to, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, and immunology. Term contract renewals are subject to departmental and college priorities and budget availability.
